Literature Text
They tell us visiting hours are over
I turn to look at my lover
His face tells me all I need to know
I'm dying...painfully and slow
As tears run down his face
My heart begins to race
I want to kiss him one last time
To express our love before I die
They scream "No, its a sin!!!"
I yell back hoping they'll let him in
He cries outside...alone and afraid
Hoping, somehow, that I'll be saved
He drinks again to escape the pain
Tears and alcohol drop like rain
Our final wish was to die together
So that I'd be with him forever
And with the pulling of that plug
And the drinking of that mug
Our wish was granted
I turn to look at my lover
His face tells me all I need to know
I'm dying...painfully and slow
As tears run down his face
My heart begins to race
I want to kiss him one last time
To express our love before I die
They scream "No, its a sin!!!"
I yell back hoping they'll let him in
He cries outside...alone and afraid
Hoping, somehow, that I'll be saved
He drinks again to escape the pain
Tears and alcohol drop like rain
Our final wish was to die together
So that I'd be with him forever
And with the pulling of that plug
And the drinking of that mug
Our wish was granted

Androgyny
Why is everything broken down?
Sorted Bit by bit,
And plastered with a label,
Pushed in to fit,
What are you and who am I?
Memories and dreams,
Beyond my mind,
Not so cut and dried,
When all your lines are blurred,
What is this life?
When you care,
What does it matter?
Intentions and thoughts,
Or am I only black and white?
Do you love me?
For I am only shades of grey,

Love is Love
People fear what they don't understand.
People want to be in control,
They see something that seems to be a threat,
That doesn't fit into their simple black and white ways.
So they build the walls.
They bring out the spears.
They hunt and the kill the grey creature.
They trap it.
Dissect it.
Inspect it.
Don't understand it.
And are scared of it.
So they hate it.
And then they form a law against it.
Gender shouldn't matter.
Colour shouldn't matter.
Age shouldn't matter.
Religion shouldn't matter.
Love is love.
It's as simple as night.
It's as simple as day.
Why make it complicated?
